humbled!

It was Saturday and I was up way earlier than I needed to be! :) I hoped in my car and drove to our meeting spot; I kept looking over to my passenger seat making sure that I had everything I needed. I ran through the checklist I had made in my head the night before, expecting that I would forget something and embarrass myself. I pulled up, walked in and started to situate myself. And then they started arriving…..not with intimidating faces, giant cameras, or smirk looks. They were excited, happy to be there. I was slightly relieved but thought that once we got into the classroom and I started sharing about my life, the judgement would come forth! :)

Man was I wrong. We spent 2 days with one another sharing, teaching and learning from one another. At one of THE best places in the area to learn! :) We shared stories, asked questions and laughed. We talked about brides, weddings and cameras. Everyone was cheerful, willing to learn and so OPEN! I talked about my life, my business and myself. I talked about who I was and my approach to being a businesswoman in the wedding industry. I, by no means, have it figured out  and I was sure that I would embarrass myself and get laughed at because I didn’t have all the answers. But that was ok. I did have something to share. I remember when I was there. A newer person in the industry so eager and willing to soak anything and everything up. So cheerful. So excited and so willing to network and make new friends! :) I was there. I love that place. The place in your life and your business where you can dream anything up for yourself. The place in your business where you just want to make anything and everything happen because you have such strong passion to do so! :)

It was my first teaching experience and I LOVED it. The attendees were amazing and I drove home last night with a gigantic smile on my face. It felt good to reinvest into the industry. It was fun to make new friends. And it was SO HUMBLING to help someone out who is on the verge of jumping off the cliff and making their dreams a reality! :) I can’t to watch these attendees grow!

YAY for a fabulous weekend and YAY for new friends! :)
